Welcome to AlgaeFood

seaweed as the regional food of the future

The AlgaeFood project is a three-year project with the aim of putting more regional seaweed on our plates. Through training courses, cooking events and vocational training, people young and old are taught to recognise seaweed as their daily bread.

We think seaweed belongs on every plate! Why?

1. Algae are full of important nutrients,

2. can be grown in an environmentally friendly way and

3. are a real enrichment for the kitchen!

Find out lots of interesting facts about native seaweed species. Learn how to prepare them simply and flavourfully and try out our delicious recipes!
