The Tag am Kai is a maritime festival that takes place every year at Tiessenkai in Kiel-Holtenau. It presents a colourful programme of cultural, leisure, business and scientific events relating to maritime topics. This year, the Day at the Quay was all about the protection and sustainable use of the seas.
The AlgaeFood project partners from oceanBASIS presented the topic of seaweed as food. Many interested visitors were able to savour various seaweed delicacies in bright sunshine. try: There was sea spaghetti in soya sauce and sesame, pesto with bladderwrack, curry date dip with seaweed flakes and seaweed butter with roasted dulse.
